Bowenwork Therapy and Bowenwork Technique Massage in Portland - Meigra Simon

Whole-body wellness with Bowenwork

Bowenwork, a holistic, soft-tissue technique, helps relax and return the body to its natural healing state. As a certified Bowenwork practitioner, I apply light pressure with a minimal number of precisely located moves and touches, then allow your body the space it needs to reset and come into balance.

Bowenwork promotes healing and wellbeing throughout the body, mind and spirit.

Bowenwork is appropriate for everyone, from newborns and pregnant women to endurance athletes and the elderly. While each person responds to Bowenwork according to their needs, a vast number of conditions are seen to respond well, including:

  • Shoulder and back pain
  • Tennis elbow
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Arthritis pain
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Migraines
  • Sciatica
  • Digestion
  • Infertility and reproductive issues
  • Colic
  • Menstrual pain
  • Chronic fatigue syndrome
  • Jaw issues

A non-invasive compliment to other bodywork modalities

Bowenwork requires no special equipment, lotions, or oils, and is generally performed over lightweight clothing rather than on bare skin. A 50-75 minute session is extremely restful and relaxing, and provides your body with the space it needs to heal. The cost for an individual session is $75. You can schedule a series of three sessions for a total of $190. The cost for a group session – working with two or more people at once – is $65 per person.
